Bonnie Weibel is a 22-year-old painter, illustrator, and photographer.  In this video portrait, she shows off a gorgeous set of dream-like illustrations in which animals reside in the hair of humans.  She also discusses the difficulty of living as an underinsured artist, touching on the issue of women’s health care.

Sigh MeltingStar is a 28-year-old artist who makes mixed media paintings, installation art, and performance art.  Sigh’s process includes scavenging supplies from trash and adorning paintings with Lisa Frank stickers.  In this video portrait, Sigh discusses his struggle living uninsured with Crohn’s disease.
