High five to everyone who voted and congratulations to President Obama for his victory!
We are glad Obama got around to mentioning health care in his election night speech:
“And I saw just the other day, in Mentor, Ohio, where a father told the story of his 8-year-old daughter, whose long battle with leukemia nearly cost their family everything had it not been for health care reform passing just a few months before the insurance company was about to stop paying for her care…I’ve never been more hopeful about our future. I have never been more hopeful about America. And I ask you to sustain that hope.”
Let’s not only sustain hope, but use some post-election momentum to keep the United States health care system moving forward! We’ve still got a lot of catching up to do. Here’s a comparison of our system v. the rest of the industrialized world, assembled by our very own, Weenta Girmay.
